Client testimonials

Hans played an instrumental role in supporting a major change initiative at Cisco. He quickly became the calm at the heart of our team, guiding us each individually and as a team through a complex and ever-changing organizational environment.

Hans is a gifted multi-level organizational strategist with an inspirational humanistic focus. He inspired me and others to think deeply concerning organizational culture, challenging us to foster the inherent value of community.

Hans is an 'organizational whisperer', able to tease out deep structure in group identity and leverage that into a positive mindset. Beyond his communication and leadership talents, his unstoppable force flows from deep-seated ethical standards and an inherent sense of 'right'.

Hans provided exceptionally insightful guidance in support of my department at Genentech. His deep commitment to delivering pro-active service and creating relaxed, collegial relationships with clients, peers, subordinates, and management was often remarked upon by all of us who worked with him. His reliable contributions made him a trusted advocate and highly valued member of each team. I highly recommend Hans as a seasoned professional who approaches each project as a unique opportunity to build relationships and drive success for all involved.

I had the pleasure of working with Hans at Cisco. His natural ability to communicate with all levels within our organization helped people overcome their fears of change and embrace our program efforts with a sense of optimism. I personally benefited from our interactions detailing communications for the groups I was specifically responsible for supporting.

I enjoyed working with Hans. He is a thoughtful consultant and a patient coach. I respect his humble way of working with people. He was helpful on multiple levels and guided our team with caring support.

About Hans

Dr. Kuendig is an organizational psychologist with 24 years of coaching, consulting and C-Suite counsel. He created the Kuendig Group in 2012. Dr. Kuendig conducted his PhD research at a Zen Center, studying the experience of learning in an organization that has survived nearly 2,500 years, passing on its teachings and wisdom, intact, over two plus millenia. Prior to founding KCG, Hans was a senior manager at Hewlett-Packard Company for over a decade. He advised senior leaders on a wide range of domestic and international initiatives.

"In my early days working at Hewlett-Packard, I had the opportunity to be part of an exceptional culture and to see how it was created and sustained. HP's culture was built on trust and respect for human dignity. We managed people using a model called Management by Objectives (MBO), a method I still believe in today. During my time at HP, I learned about the power of authentic leadership, culture as a living system, and the human side of management."

The Kuendig Group was born out of shared experiences of many leaders, organizations, and cultures. For over two decades, leaders shared their ideas, desires, and concerns, citing personal growth needs and confiding about the difficult task of leading organizations and developing people. It turns out that leaders have the same fears and challenges as everyone else. They are, after all, only human.

Author and consultant, Margaret Wheatley, describes a way of being as a leader.

There is a simpler way to organize human endeavor. It requires a new way of being in the world. It requires being in the world without fear. Being in the world with play and creativity. Seeking after what's possible. Being willing to learn and to be surprised (Wheatley, 1996).

Our mission is to help individuals and organizations develop, adapt, and grow. Our process is a humanistic approach structured around a three phase process: discover, design, and deliver.
